When I see the mighty pelican, with its outstretched wings coming into land upon the water, I am reminded of my mission to live life to its fullest. The size and grace of these avian beasts, with their honeycombed skeletons, which allow a bird this big to fly, amaze me. They come in like large airships or B52 bombers about to land. Nature can inspire us to reach beyond our conditioning and to not always be defined by our results. Achievements in all walks of life and all forms of competition are about living life to its fullest.
Embrace the Life Spirit
We cannot be half-hearted about things. We must embrace the life spirit in all its forms. Whether at work or at play, in love or alone, we have the opportunity to live life to its fullest, if we so choose. I can hear the ‘what ifs’ and excuses now. “But I have a condition which prevents me from going all out.” “I am too old, too young, too fat, too poor, too this or that.” “My life has been hard, and I am worn out.” My answer is, so what. Work with what you have got and rise above it.
Fear of Failure is a Trap
Seizing your moment is all about taking your foot off the brake pedal and moving forward. Indecisiveness is one of the worst modes to be in. Take action, whether you have doubts or not. If you find that you have made the wrong move, you can always adjust. Not doing anything for fear of failure, or getting it wrong, is a trap. Making a difference in your life, and the life of others, is what this realm is all about. Live life to its fullest, while you have the chance.
Community Enriches Us All
Gather a network of supporters to your cause, because community enriches all of our lives. Why do it all alone, when you can share the journey and the achievement? It seems rather churlish to leave the others out of it. We all can benefit from social interaction but keep it positive. Avoid gossip and other forms of negative social contact. Do not judge your comrades harshly. Keep some love close to your lips. Whisper the names of those you care for to the winds. See the heart in all that they do. Living life to its fullest is the challenge, the mission, and the reward.
